Before considering the granting of a business loan, Banks want to see your annual financial statements, management accounts, trial balance, income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement. Most small business owners do not have this information readily to hand and so finding an accountant who can help them rapidly produce all that the Bank requires, is expensive! Worse still, because it is a rushed job, the likelihood of the information submitted having many inaccuracies is high. This explains why I set about designing a cost-effective, fully integrated small business accounting system in Excel which has an easy-to-use data entry system, calculates everything automatically and provides the small busines owner with top-class financial reports that the Banks will think were compiled by skilled accountants.”

About Gail.
FIGG Excel Accounting Solutions was founded based on demand for the skills of the owner Gail Meryl Emmerick. Gail has a rather unusually dynamic background that attracts many entrepreneurs to believe that she is the only accountant who would understand their specific business and needs. It is only FIGG clients who fully comprehend how true that is. The knowledge, ease and service the one receives from FIGG is unmatched. Gail obtained her accounting degree qualifying as top student at the University of Pretoria. SARS, which was then know and The Receiver of Revenue approached her to work for them after qualifying which she accepted. Within a couple of months Gail was promoted to an inspector. The first female inspector in the country.
After learning all she wanted to learn at SARS she moved on to the Private Sector. Once in the Private Sector, at the age of 25 Gail became known as an accountant who found everything that was going wrong in your business and implemented solutions to fix it. By the age of 27 Gail started her own business turnaround business and by word of mouth only would work for any 3 Medium to Large companies at a time. Many of these companies would be repeat clients when they required a project leader to because of rapid growth, mergers and acquisitions, wished to implement new systems, or suspected fraud which Gail would then identify and so on.
Many of these clients would have managers who would leave the clients to start their own small businesses and Gail then formed FIGG Excel Accounting Solutions to recruit people for the new clients and do all the Registrations at CIPC, SARS, Labour etc. and then train them on their admin procedures and prepare their monthly management accounts, Annual Financial Statements and Submit their Income Tax etc.
By 2010 FIGG had so many clients that Gail decided to no longer offer her services as Business Turnaround but to focus on her small business clients. By 2012 Gail had written an accounting system for Small Business in Excel which was award Microsoft Member Status. The knowledge that now belongs in FIGG because of the experience in all areas of business, accounting and legal aspects of a business is nothing short of phenomenal.
FIGGs business growth is purely word of mouth, especially for small business who are horribly behind with anything to do with their accounting, Income Tax, Dept. of Labour. For this, FIGG is the expert they need and remain with.
